The nursery greenhouse (aka the mothership) is the center of the farm. It is the place where all our lettuce transplants start their life and it is where all of our microgreens are grown. For the past 2 years Owen has done an incredible job as our Greenhouse Grower, but he's moving out-of-state and its a little too long of a commute.
Nathan is our new full-time greenhouse grower and we are accepting applications for one part-time greenhouse grower position. The schedule would be 5-8 hour days on Saturday and Sunday, and possibly some hours on Wednesday;10-20 hours a week. This position requires close attention to detail and the ability to work alone and maintain a high level of productivity. The part-time greenhouse grower will share greenhouse work with the full-time greenhouse grower who works Monday through Friday.
Job Description: Tasks include watering and spot watering, manually filling trays, seeding microgreens, seeding lettuce transplants, stacking trays, moving trays, harvesting microgreens, emptying trays, cleaning, organizing work areas, washing trays, filling out greenhouse records and microgreen harvest records.
Main-Season (mid-April through mid October) year-round employment may be a possibility for the right person.
Compensation: Starting at $13-15 an hour (based on experience) plus farm-fresh produce. Time and a half for overtime.
Please fill out the Greenhouse Grower Application to be considered for hire.
